Over the past few years it seems like the number of multi-book story arcs in the X-Men verse has increased. The Mutant X story just finished, and now the Second Coming story has started. It covers four of the different X-men books. I like a good cross over every now and then, but I can’t afford to buy every single X book coming out. It gets too confusing if you aren’t able to get every issue in the story. Maybe Marvel should take it down a notch and space the crossovers out. This way they could address those things that have been awkwardly placed on the back burner. Like how they brought Kitty Pryde back from her magic space bullet (FINALLY!!!) but we haven’t seen anything about her since. They don’t have to focus a whole issue on her or anything, but since they made a big deal about her return you would think she’d have popped up again since her return. I guess she’s still confined to her phase-proof chamber. Anyway, the current books are really good. If you can afford them check them out. I just wish the powers that be would stop being quite so crossover happy. Oh and just for fun the super awesome uncanny 522 variant cover.
